Global K-Pioneers Programme was a series of events that Bridge International organised to help some of the promising Korean start-ups to become global players. It was just awesome, full of helpful information and global networking.

From 3rd to 8th December 2014, Bridge International was busy helping 13 promising Korean start-ups to prepare their overseas expansion. We hosted the events in London, the capital of the technologies and global businesses, with a government agency of South Korea called KISED (Korea Institute of Start-up and Entrepreneurship Development).

What did we do?

The programme consisted of seminars, visits to start-up accelerators, meetings with successful entrepreneurs, a demo day, networking and business matching events. The demo day aimed to showcase the best of Korean startups to enthusiastic crowd of UK investors, incubators, media and digital professionals, as well as connect entrepreneurs with the digital world. It provided an opportunity to meet the startups personally to see their product demos and discuss business at an international level.

Looks like all the participants from Europe as well as the ones from Korea were satisfied by what they’re experiencing during the programme and enjoying the time.

What Jaana said was particularly memorable.

Creating a bridge between Europe and Asia, I think Korea is one of the key players in that.
